نویسندگان

چکیده

Multi-tap CMOS pixels that are composed of a single photodiode, multiple sets charge transfer gate and storage diode, draining can implement functional imaging. In this paper, imaging systems based on the multi-tap pixel categorized into those with synchronized active illuminations using coded exposure. Applications for quantitative wide-field spatial frequency domain (SFDI) structured light projection multi-exposure laser speckle contrast blood flow (MELSCI) utilizing exposure times shown. The provides additional benefits like suppression ambient motion artifact SFDI efficient sampling at video rate MELSCI.

A 3MPixel Multi-Aperture Image Sensor with 0.7μm Pixels in 0.11μm CMOS

Conventional image sensors have improved with technology scaling mainly by reducing pixel size to increase spatial resolution [1,2]. As resolution approaches the limits of existing optics, is there much to gain from further pixel scaling? In [3], we argue that further scaling can provide new imaging capabilities via a multi-aperture (MA) architecture, which consists of an array of small submicr...

A Multi-Aperture Image Sensor with 0.7μm Pixels in 0.11μm CMOS Technology

Abstract—The first integrated multi-aperture image sensor is reported. It comprises a 166×76 array of 16×16, 0.7μm pixel, FT-CCD subarrays with local readout circuit, per-column 10-bit ADCs, and control circuits. The image sensor is fabricated in a 0.11μm CMOS process modified for buried channel charge transfer. Global snap shot image acquisition with CDS is performed at up to 15fps with 0.15V/...

Paper Dark Current Characterization of Low-noise CMOS Global Shutter Pixels Using Pinned Storage Diodes

This paper describes dark current characterization of two-stage charge transfer pixels, which enable a global shuttering and kTC noise canceling. The proposed pixel uses pinned diode structures for the photodiode (PD) as well as the storage diode (SD), thereby a very low dark current is expected. In this paper, effects of negative gate biasing and temperature dependency are discussed with devic...

Fully depleted, thick, monolithic CMOS pixels with high quantum efficiency

The Centre for Electronic Imaging (CEI) has an active programme of evaluating and designing Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) image sensors with high quantum efficiency, for applications in near-infrared and X-ray photon detection. This paper describes the performance characterisation of CMOS devices made on a high resistivity 50 μm thick p-type substrate with a particular focus on...

Toward Multispectral Imaging with Colloidal Metasurface Pixels.

Multispectral colloidal metasurfaces are fabricated that exhibit greater than 85% absorption and ≈100 nm linewidths by patterning film-coupled nanocubes in pixels using a fusion of bottom-up and top-down fabrication techniques over wafer-scale areas. With this technique, the authors realize a multispectral pixel array consisting of six resonances between 580 and 1125 nm and reconstruct an RGB i...
